If not treated the Corten steel, as it patinas (cosmetic rusting) it will leave a fine dust on anything that touches it. This has prevented any practical installations where it will be coming into contact with people such as a seating area
After working with a chemical engineer we have helped design a sealing product which once applied seals the steel, leaving it smooth to the touch while maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the rusty steel
